Outdoor Rock Climbing Courses

Two Day Trad Climbing Courses 2022
NEW DATE ADDED: 1st + 2nd OR 2nd+ 3rd Aug 2022

Learning the skills to go outdoor rock climbing independently will open up a world of possibilities for you. It might initially seem like a whole other world of complex ropework and strange equipment, but it’s not! For those with basic indoor skills, two days of outdoor tuition can provide a solid foundation to get going on your own. Similarly, the transition to multipitch climbing might be simpler than you think.

“Trad Climbing”, short for “Traditional Climbing”, is the most common type of climbing in the UK. Trad Climbing involves keeping yourself safe using pieces of “gear” which you place /wedge / jam into natural features of the rock as you climb upwards. This is in contrast to “Sport Climbing”, where a rock face has been pre-equipped with metal bolts drilled into the rock.

This year we are offering 2 beginners Trad Climbing courses based in Kingussie. You can sign up as an individual or group – all days will be delivered at a 1:2 ratio. You can also get in touch to discuss bespoke teaching days or courses!

Hope to see you soon!
