Family Climb and Abseil Introduction
Fun for all the family!!! Come and try outdoor rock climbing and abseiling on the impressive “pinaccle crag” overlooking the beautiful Loch Duntelchaig.
There are rock climbs of various difficulty, therefor suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience. In short, we tailor your session to suit you!
The session is open to everyone aged 5+ and your 3 hour slot will be exclusively for your family group. If parents don’t fancy climbing, that’s okay, but we do need parents to be present throughout the whole session. Fortunately, it will also be great fun as a spectator, or you can even learn to hold the ropes.
The cost is £120 per family group (of up to 4) including the loan of equipment. It is of course free to spectate / accompany your child if you do not wish to climb, although we will still provide you with a helmet. Minimum age is 5.
The session will be run by Anna Wells, fully qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, experienced youth coach, accomplished climber and World Cup competitor. The emphasis of the sessions will be on safety, fun and personal development. 2
We will provide you with a climbing harness and helmet, although you’re welcome to bring your own if you have them.
You will not be provided with rock climbing shoes, so please bring comfortable footwear with a firm sole. Additionally, feel free to get in touch for any advice. Wear clothing that is easy to move around in and bring warm layers including a waterproof jacket. The climbing area is about a ten minute walk from the car park
